Men In Public Toilets

Never Let Me Go> i would let you go. [Film Review] The White Stripes

Never Let Me Go

Film: Never Let Me Go
Directed by: Mark Romanek

Starring: Keira Knightley, Carey Mulligan, Andrew Garfield
Duration: 93 minutes.
Genre: Drama anticipation.
In theaters: March 2
Rating: 5 / 10

Never Let Me Go, it was nice to give all desires of the world once before, we can not help feeling a twinge of sadness. One feels not at all in the end this film.

So actually, the casting envious, but in the end, what remains? If Keira Knightley does the job, it is nothing extraordinary, the movie going to be transparent or beside the plate. Carey Mulligan slightly less for the movies, is more interesting in its game, the more pungent, but her character is quite bland, which causes little enthusiasm. As for Andrew Garfield is very good, far from his character in "Wardo" in The Social Network but again it is difficult to attach to it. Charlotte Rampling fills (pun, did you see?) the film of his British charm in his role as nice tyrant seen a thousand times ...
Never Let Me Go

If the film avoids anticipation that one side would have been quite inappropriate given the atmosphere is not why he is fully well seen. By not specifying the time frame of the film we just lost interest framework.

The picture is neat, well-chosen sets, but neither the camera nor the scenario does not seem interested in the characters, and that's where the rub. The problem with these three main characters is that they sorely lack of interest. Where the movie could have proposed an embryonic rebellion, nothing happens, they seem passive, satisfied with their lot and do not try to escape.
Where the film cherished hopes, its conformism and disinterest toward his own history will turn very quickly defeated.

Never Let Me Go, Let Go is the no regrets.

Grow Saffron Indoors At Home

is finished. Split the hardest of my life. Golden

I know, I never do what I say, I post anything I promise. So Now I say nothing, we'll see, well.

The White Stripes, it's over. Wednesday, February 2, 2011, cing hours and thirty-two minutes (GMT).

The White Stripes, was thirteen years of career. It was rock-blues-garage. It was Jack White, inventive man, the creator. The magician.

The White Stripes, it has been far too Seven Nation Army, but also (much) more than one hundred other songs, wonderful.

The White Stripes, it started a summer drive. It was the only CD we had, we listened to it for two weeks. (Juan, Tito, thank you.)

The White Stripes, is what made me discover the music, actually.

The White Stripes, it's six albums. All listened to some thoroughly.

The White Stripes, it will always be the group that I never had the chance to see them live. If I've seen Jack White (and I see him), the legendary duo will never play in front of me.

The White Stripes, it's been long suspected their departure. The anguish of Meg added to the fact that Jack was musically perpetually elsewhere (The Dead Weather, The Raconteurs, Third Man Records), it was felt ahead. But I would not believe it.

The White Stripes, they leave us with a tear in the corner of his eye. This news, I see a blur. If they leave, I leave my childhood.

The White Stripes, they we leave as they came: a little quietly, just nicely. Smooth as Third Man Records will continue to move the funds drawer from time to time ...

The White Stripes, it's over.

And it makes me sad. I just Do not Know What To Do With Myself.

The White Stripes, it's over.

And it goes well I myself have to do.

What Do Write On A Retirement Cake?

SLAMS [Klaxons @ The Olympic, Nantes - 01.19.2011 - Live review] Back For Good

There are moments in life where you have to breathe a bit. Some will read the newspaper over coffee, others take long walks, bike or go into exile. What I like is the concerts. It costs more, it rarely provides the date, but it is always good. I feel things I feel at any other time in my life. And that's still pretty darn important.

Artist: Klaxons
Room: The Olympic (Nantes)
Duration of show: 1:25
Date: Wednesday, January 19
Part One: Is Tropical

In a word: Life
Reminder? Two songs.

This concert for me was a bit peculiar. It is always my first concert since March 2007, I lived my first concert in front of a set of Klaxons. The atmosphere of madness had pushed Jamie promise "I promise we'll come back here ... I promise." I had not forgotten. And finally, no, there was only one date at La Cigale. A little disappointed, I take my keyboard, I publish a short note stating my disappointment, and I send them a mail. I never got an answer, but a few months later, a concert Nantes unfolds. Meanwhile, I heartily down their second album, but whatever, I take my place, not nearly a contradiction!

few months later, here I am again at the Olympic. I scan the faces around: Most boys, older audience than last time, I feel at ease in this room. I greet the head of the faces used and the first part comes a little late.
Is Tropical is a group that I discovered a few months ago, signed to Kitsuné. Without being revolutionary, their sound nice and catchy to me immediately liked. On stage, the case is different. If the studio can sound their joyful songs and almost hedonistic, live the English fellows donned beards and suddenly sounding as 'tropical' as The Cure. Hence the influence of vision on what we listen. Their songs we used to feel warm and are gradually conquer our hearts. It must be said that these youngsters are doing no evil, for their looks in the end to focus on music that is played on a square it, but precise. They arrive in the dark mix guitars with synth side of dancing, and it works. Far from being transcendent, this live is enough to be very pleasant. You can see them play here .

During the intermission, we have fun as we can with what we can. The small tower at the merchandising booth informed me that I would perhaps save 15 € to pay me a t-shirts that tear, but never mind, I paid back on a beer with a few cups recorded, and amuse myself somehow with my necklace LCD (the cons).

And then when we having a good time to tell bullshit, the lights go out. Begins excellent Atlantis to Interzone , from their first album. Immediately, the children jump, tight against each other. The atmosphere of madness starts over again with Flashover , the best song from their latest album. The band alternated songs and the first and second album brilliantly, allowing also to keep a crazy mood throughout the set while the more recent songs won less affection. This is indeed a feat that takes the group in concert: they manage to erase the differences (what am I saying? The abyss ) separating their first of their second album to better maintain the climax when live.
S'enchaînent so in a complete mess: Two Receivers / magick / Golden Skans / As Above, So Below / Gravity's Rainbow / It's Not Over Yet (for first) and the entire second with the exception of Extra Astronomical (yes, they had the gratitude we save).
Note: the beginning of the concert Atlantis To Interzone - Flashover , unstoppable, the concatenation magic (this is the case to say) Two Receivers - Magick and Recall Surfing The Void - It's Not Over Yet .

And then, I still feel like you are hiding something. Because okay, I slammed on Golden Skans , but it's no surprise, then who cares? even if it was one of the nicest slams in my life.
No, but The Olympic 2010/2011 season has finally breaks free and has offered an internship invasion. Far from that known at the concert by Black Lips ( yet we remember), it has the merit of being memorable because I still spent a good minute trying to join the dozen fans on stage . What I eventually succeed but that is not the issue.
All this to say: STAGE INVASION , guys. The Klaxons have managed the impossible: a stage invasion in 2011, yeah. For this reason they are sacred heroes month of January. (Because is not messing around, either.)

The Klaxons have managed to convince me that a bad album can turn into excellent concert, and just for that I congratulate them. The concert was stirred can no longer alive, the musicians were really given, and this concert is a worthy legacy of their passage four years ago.

Play Pokemon Soul Silver

I am back! Not easy to live this blog between classes, Twitter and Facebook. (Especially between Twitter and Facebook for that matter) But it does not prevent me from going to the cinema to see good and bad movies, or listen to a plethora of albums and to get lots of cool songs. Except that strength, I am even more time to share with you what I think and what I found and it is con .
To speak a little of I need to know that I celebrated my first Christmas in Miami and that really nice. I want to wish you a happy new year full of favorites, fun, health, happiness and success!

In my boxes for some time takes a draft summary of which is progressing slowly in 2010, the music side and movie side. I hesitate to make a simple text to attempt the impossible, a ranked order. We'll see. I also want to talk about Somewhere , because the other films I've seen recently is really worth not once.

to return in 2011 with a flourish, I offer some fresh news of the coup!

  • The Kills has finished writing, recording, producing and mastering his latest album. Yes yes, they did everything. The album called Blood Pressures and will be released early April. Needless to say I'm impatient ... I not stand up to deliver you the tracklist: Future Starts Slow / Satellite / Heart Is Beating Drum / Nail in My Coffin / Wild Charms / DNA / Baby Says / Last Goodbye / Damned If She Do / You Do not Own The Road / Pots and Pans. Yeah, it looks so cool, I found too!
  • Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross , who had already signed the superb soundtrack to the excellent film Fincher The Social Network , will get back to work and work again with Fincher Adaptation of the first book in the series of polar Millennium : The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo in VO.
  • The Strokes, yes those people who have disappeared from circulation and I am not entirely convinced that they we arrive to lay a good album (since they were still at the songs without the man who had written ouiouioui) have announced an album in March. I'll spare you the puerile jokes singer Julian Casablancas who likes to post pictures ugly us by making us believe they will be the cover of the album.
  • Kanye West & Jay-Z , two monuments of rap. Together . The project, called The Throne Watch was announced long ago but only now we could hear the first song, HAM I leave you run after him, it's a BOMB.
  • Gorillaz has not only released an album called Christmas Day The Fall, they also recorded on an iPad, and during their tour. The object is quite indescribable, and looks like what Damon Albarn could write a beautiful object but a bit limited if it was crap on a tour bus for a month. What's good, responsible, since it is this. All that to say that they have added a new character (below) to their group cartoon, which was designed by a fan and called The Evangelist (which is the dark side of The Boogieman, if you just follow the story ...).
  • The new album from Arctic Monkeys released in May 2011. YES.
  • Two Door Cinema Club played at the Olympia and as it is common to many fans have filmed the benefit to using their phones and other cameras. The excellent blog The Hiboo conducted with the authorization of a montage of a group of their songs from pieces filmed that fans have sent in the same way as it was already done for Daft punk and Radiohead . It gives this:
On this I'll be back very soon, either by talking about the live performance of Klaxons, or with something on 2010, Somewhere .

meantime, have fun and then ... HOP HOP HOP.

How Old Do I Have To Be To Work At Best Buy

Kanye West - My Beautiful Twisted Dark Fantasy [Album Review Review]

We will ten to dwell on the fact that seals it is still a while since I last posted, I write when I want and if you do not like going somewhere else if I am (and a priori, I gives you a hint: I'm not). I do not know why I'm so violent. Apart from that I'm missing the concert Gorillaz, the second (tied with many others) group in my life. That must be it. And speaking of Gorillaz, also talk about their wonderful cover of Crystalised of The XX :

Seriously is not proof of perfection, right? Hop hop hop I swear it does.

A little serious here. Kanye West talking . I know it's been a while since I fart with my eyes ... the stories of Kanye, but rest assured, it is nearly done. I can come back with a live review of the festival or concert Inrocks Foals, or even a playlist (because there are a thousand pieces of playlists there ...) but I decided instead to return speaking of the album of our favorite hamster, released this week in stores worldwide.

Artist: Kanye West
Album: My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy
Style: Hip-hop
Nationality: American
Where to buy the album : In your record store, the physical version is beautiful, believe me.
Rating: 9 / 10

Ci-cons, the filthy jacket that Kanye was censored because it was alleged a little bored one night. I will not expatiate over twenty minutes but we'll say "Fortunately it is intervertible with four pockets," to be polite.

not know where this album starts where it ends. One thing is certain, that it is much more than the twelve tracks (including one double) therein. It is inseparable from the way film depicting Runaway, a sort of film-megalomaniac-auteuro mesmerizing. If you missed it, here it is , and honestly it's worth a look , whatever one may think. This album is also surrounded by Good Friday, songs Kanye broadcast every Friday from September until the release of his album, which has exposed us in advance of his album tracks, but also chips that ; never appear elsewhere as a possible bonus disc, such as Christian Dior Denim Flow or Heavy Chain piece he had submitted in the office of Facebook. My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy is a bit all this, and it is especially great Kanye West . What impresses me the most about this disc is that behind the tremendous amount of presence of other artists on his songs, Kanye West manages to maintain consistency without repetition, he can not disappear behind all the talents surrounding it, and just for that, this album is great, as a demonstration of what can be done right with an album "Choral".

I thought it was time to stop making critical track-by-track but impossible to discuss this album without mentioning Opening his first. Thus, the album begins with what Dante Dark Fantasy , chip-killing that opens the dance in style with grandeur and beat simplissime unstoppable flow. She catches the listener immediately, before plunging into madness megalomaniac Kany-enemies from Gorgeous which are already powerful guest appearances with Kid CuDi and Raekwon of Wu-Tang Clan . Much more insistent, his guitars are an echo of a hip-hop song of unpublished Strokes ... Power piles up again with his pace Tribal before casting incredible All Of The Lights , song for which Kanye has hired Alicia Keys, Rihanna, The Roux Elly Jackson, Elton John, Fergie, Kid Cudi and I'll stop here otherwise we will pass night. This is where the genius producer Kanye happens to be to put those egos and talents (on) a level of near equality, while leaving its paw. Where we see that its management piece is perfect, is that the song does not even appear "mess" but instead perfectly set up with interventions millimeter. Until the end of this time and few, Kanye chain monstrous songs, demonstrations of force of talent of the gentleman ( Monster , So Appaled ) and the songs almost as intimate Hell Of A Life and electro accents even repressed, which seems to be a confession how this could have done a Eminem song but here much more cut, trimmed, designed for the dancefloor at times. Again, Kanye dropped his habit of 808's and Heartbreaks use auto-tune but here he uses it much more sparingly.

Both messiah and antichrist, Kanye West returns with a solid album that seems to be giving any deadline. Everything is in excess and over-representation and Kanye can determine the boundaries of his ego-trip by abusing featurings millimiters to perfection. He frames his album of his mind as bright as gold-plated teeth.

Where To Buy Thick Paper

Mother & Child

Love can take many varied forms that may be its duration, its intensity, its objects and flaws. But there is no love comparable to that which links a mother and her child. A love of rich paradoxes, whose strength can become a weakness ... Link eternal and unconditional, and yet so often under attack ... love both bearer and heavy to carry, but whose absence takes more space than its presence ... a pure and innocent love that may be a source of suffering, consciously or unconsciously.

Through the destinies of three women, interpreted Annette Bening, Naomi Watts and Kerry Washington, the director Rodrigo Garcia portrays the complex relationship with great modesty and subtlety. Without being confined to mere mother / daughter, it also addresses the desire to be a mother's absence and the frustration of not being.

A moving film, that brain shaken me to the uterus, through the heart ...

Men Mooning The Camera

Culture pub ...

This weeks (months?) I see it in theaters and that the same question running through my head every time: what is this beautiful melody that accompanies an advertisement for a camera I do not intend to buy? And each time, after the meeting, I forget to look for the answer to my question. Procrastination, my friend ...

is finally done thanks to the blog advertising music.
You will find other beads, but I listen to that loop now is "Welcome Home" by Radical Face.

Just for fun:

Samsung Lcd Tv Bottom Cover Parts

A twin of the crime

There was talk of
tea with mint or lemon yourself? , The 39 Steps and some other plays in theaters right now ... It is ultimately for A twin of the crime that my sister has bravely got tickets at the booth at Theatre de la Madeleine Saturday. At the same time, I am bored ... err worked until evening. I had left as a single instruction: "Maybe the important part, as it is funny and no-brainer." Mission accomplished!

Two beds offense is played at the Theatre by a troupe Michodiere dynamic and hilarious led by Arthur Jugnot (yes, the son of ...) and this farce about an adulterous quartet based on an excellent and clever staging by Jean-Luc Moreau. A twin

the offense is a delirious delight.

Rare Candy Cheat Ruby Rom

HOP HOP HOP # 2

Ahem, that's really layabout all these posts where I say nothing. Promised, I'll be back soon with stuff a little more consistent. History to celebrate the first anniversary of the blog, anyway.

So, some music news:

  • Kanye West formalized his album. He called My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy , released on November 22 and will contain some tracks from the Good Friday (the last Christian Dior Denim Flow is a bomb HOP HOP HOP what). He has presented its plea film Runaway in Paris and has cracked a speech touching and a few tears at the end of the projection. strange that this lovely artist Kanye. And above all he played Saturday Night Live for a service simply outstanding. Look what gives Power (knowing that he also played Runaway ):
  • Gorillaz introduced a new single in surprise. Quite different from Plastic Beach because it is sung by Daley (artist R & B), it is certainly very interesting. Check it one ear, you will not regret it.
  • Jamie of The XX unveiled a solo piece, Far Nearer . It listens but it's still pretty disappointing compared to their near-masterpiece.
  • Yellowcard has released a new track called Music and is so bad that we think was a joke.
  • Carl Barat released their eponymous album. Many of the early plays badly, I start to get used to it, although it is fairly standard and foolish, it offers some nice walks swaying melody and good finds. He yet to pass the test stage, what I judge early November at the Olympic.
  • The Kings of Leon is also out and I even know why I mention the same for the leak of Die Antwoord this atrocious rap group South African could be all the rage among the general public in the coming months. Stay tuned (or not ...)
  • The album The Preview of Chiddy Bang has also leaked, and it is not bad, although a few short.
  • I always advise both the album Das Racist , Sit Down, Man and in a different register than Deerhunter, Halcyon Digest. And if you feel like not knowing what to think of an album, listen to the last Katerine , crazy (I like my side. Finally I think.) Finally, listen to the album very delicate Midlake (but not too much).
  • [UPDATE] I wanted to talk about the return of Bertrand Cantat on stage by lack of own pictures to show you but in fact they exist, and they are there: http://dai.ly/aC6MNF
Side Cinema:
  • ago this trailer "so 50's" very successful for Inception:
  • Piranha 3D is just fun. Nothing more, nothing less. (Well, mostly less but shhh, it's FUN).
  • Eat Requests Love is not even as bad as expected. It's just that lasts two hours and twenty, he knows where to go, it connects the images, it is played by Julia Roberts and ... oops, maybe enough actually.
  • Heartbeats is a beautiful movie, very touching, love the competition and what follows, desire, jealousy, satisfaction, disappointment, hope ... Many feelings very well shown in a very pleasant atmosphere. The film has many visual tics that I prefer to see them as gimmicks do not blame me appreciate them. I see quite what is detestable in the film and probably these defects are obvious on film that make me more attractive. Go see it anyway, because Xavier Dolan deserves.
And if not, the first Hadopi mail has been received , yes yes sir, we run all hide behind our VPN.

On this I say very soon, HOP HOP HOP my friends. \u0026lt;3

1987 Honey Motor Home

Foals Two new pieces: "The Forked Road" "Wear & Tear". HOP HOP HOP

Our little darlings Foals have released a video for Trees 2, I had vaguely mentioned Recently, arguing that as the clip is ugly I do not post it. Well I do not post it yet, since anyway the clip served only to highlight its author (Adam Bizanski) and that the next single is always Blue Blood . The single English Sahara was released not long ago, and has four pieces: a shorter version, without its magic crescendo-recorded with the London Contemporary Orchestra , the version recorded in session at Glastonbury , the live version of the iTunes Festival and the remix of John Dalback .
Still, I'm here about the discovery of two new songs by Foals: The Forked Road truly magical, dark and dense, full of nooks where house his ears, cower and long hibernation and Wear and Tear , too dark, at his most wicked, and which easily evokes English Sahara. Here they are:

One of these two pieces was found by Across-The-Days , whom I thank:) If you want to download them, click here discreetly.

On this I say to you very soon to talk about I do not know what else, we'll see. Until then, xoxo and HOP HOP HOP.

Driver's License Birthdayinvitations

!

HOP HOP HOP (yeah this is my new battle cry, do not try). It's been super long since I have stuff to say and I say not much, lately. That's because I twitter, I miss my concerts because I'm working on an essay, 'I blogging in others (three small articles DB-Mag , whose second edition released in early October, and soon one Urbstreet) I listen to lots of albums but never enough to make you a real criticism.

So I'll try to summarize, though. Because you deserve it.

  • I am sure source (well, almost, that is to say not at all) that I Am A Dog! bump on a recovery Hey You of of Pony Pony Run Run . I'll let you know, obviously.
  • There are plenty of good albums to listen. But first, throw an ear on one of Max Balloon , the solo project of Dave Sitek, frontman TV On The Radio . It deserves a column, I wonder if I should not go beyond.
  • I was at the movies. So I should criticize at least one of the four films I've seen, but in case I will not, I summarize: Such loves = pretentious. Of Men and Gods = Beautiful. Simon Werner disappeared ... = bad. The Runaways = inform. The Town = heavy.
  • The writing Tsugi was burglarized, and all the computers have disappeared. Big blow for the independent magazine officiating since 2007. As financial support, I requires that you buy from their latest issue.
  • Foals released a video for 2 Trees but it is so ugly that not even I post a link.
  • Sexion assault, the group of "rap" that NRJ and others bent on us to disseminate length of days, is "100% homophobic and assumes" (I am just quoting). It is the embarrassment in it happens.
  • A group of very nice hop-hop has seen her album leaker. They called Das Racist , and their album Sit down, man . I recommend it highly.
  • Phoenix, to thank us because we are fans too real, offers everyone the multi-tracks versions of each song contained on Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix. Useful if you count the remix, otherwise it will serve little point. On the other hand, they announce the other gifts. In Meanwhile, there is it happens.
  • Kanye West broadcasts every Friday a new song from his upcoming album (Dark Twisted Fantasay ). All deserve an article, but if you like the earlier works of the gentleman, these pieces should please you. Among other things, Monster , Runaway Devil In A New Dress or Lord Lord Lord .

Well, I think I have only to write home Urbstreet and I come back here with either a playlist of return, or criticism (Cine? Music?).
you soon guys.

Klaxons - Surfing The Void [Album Review Review]

Artist : Klaxons
Album : Surfing The Void
Style: Punk Nu-rave/Dance
Nationality: English Where to buy the album : On Fnac.com , among other
Rating: 2 / 10

I am a "big" fan of the Klaxons , then logically it hurts their spit. Yet, our history began well in 2007 with their debut album, Myths Of The Near Future gives me a few more chills when I fall over. This album (and their authors) had been proclaimed spearheading a new musical style born in the United Kingdom that had qualified for the NME New Rave (spelled nu rave ), their most famous followers being Cansei de Ser Sexy (aka CSS) and Hadouken! . They get the Mercury Prize, is considered the revelation scene of the year, follows logically tour (where they provide, among other things, the first part of the special concert Daft Punk Bercy ), their passage to Nantes ... and my first concert at the same time. Tubes in their march every evening from Golden Skans to As Above, So Below (and its French version and its remix by Justice), but no matter, the group never will be taxed "listened too". The group continues its momentum, blogs call it a forgotten, but they are not idle: their record company systematically denied each of their proposals, changes in the producer environment. The recording of the album is tedious, but here it is completed with the help of Ross Robinson, producer of lovely folk bands softly (yes, the irony) ; as Korn, Slipknot or Sepultura . Then exits Flashover , small bomb which one feels that the Klaxons have aged. The cover is revealed, I find it perfect, I am the pouch 2010, at least for the moment! Then it's very decent single Echoes comes out, accompanied by a clip mochemochemoche . Thus began the long wait until August 23 (or up to twenty others ...) , release date of the album.
And here it is. Fresh, ready to be heard. First listen, I have no doubt this album is very very (very) strong. He presents the foundations of the first game zero, share of trips without forgetting completely barred efficiency, a cocktail very dancing in the end. But soon, the songs are running out, and we realize that the album is actually completely empty. While few good songs stand out, others are very large and bad press in the album, which quickly becomes unlistenable. What is the problem? Answer ...

Surfing The Void started yet not so bad, that is to say it began with Echoes already heard here and there, and find that its not entirely unknown is reassuring. It is well recognized is the Klaxons . But by the second song, there is concern. The Same Space is extremely repetitive and is found to be particularly boring, despite its constant agitation and fatigue, which is nothing compared to the intro of Surfing The Void . It stands out, it's more due to (because of ...) its noisy moments quickly unbearable. The chorus shouted by the shrill voice of Jamie helpful in nothing, and it is difficult to bear listening to his song in its entirety. Valley of the calm trees is the only song whose words do not go too in a space-mystic delirium, which has the merit of being based .. . unlike the chorus, which again is very unpleasant. Venusia / Venusha is less unpleasant, it is among the "best" songs from the album, but I have yet to determine whether it was because of the inevitable comparison with its neighboring atrocious or if it was real quality. Anyway, her chorus is catchy and the lyrics may be less intolerable than elsewhere. Extra Astronomical assumes, his profound immaturity (or at least it seems) every note is useless, blurred, indescribable, incomprehensible singing is reduced to sound more or less distinct: an atrocity. Twin Flames starts better, even if we feel there too soon the frantic side takes them every time. Ultimately, the song is inexplicably bland. I preferred when the song was bad, actually. We found a little smile from the intro to Flashover , and this time, preceded by dull Twin Flames, it is really effective, though it loses a bit of bite it had when it was played alone, because sometimes preceded by twenty-five minutes of overdose of mush. Future Memories begins in a good momentum, but the refrain in canon is too daunting to make it possible to reach until the end of the song. Which is a shame since the next Cypherspeed , is far better. I would say it is the worst: no rhythm, distortion used indiscriminately, singing crushed under it-don't-know-what too: it is actually the summary of the album: loud, hollow, unbearable.
Surfing the Void is the album he should avoid this year, ten songs too excited, a sort of kneaded dough too, informs a magma, a boil hollow and noisy.
(As they say in the trade that's done.
In fact, I'm still quite proud to have spit on this pretty crap. For once I do not agree with the NME or Pitchfork, which give them generous respectively 8 and 7.2. Disagree with the Inrocks either way.)

Time Out Of Work Pneumonia

Life is a rainbow trout that swims in the sky in my heart ...

This is not the last political party slogan "Hunting, Fishing, Nature and Traditions," but the title that Cali has chosen for his next album, due out mid- November (patience, patience ....).

Dear Cali, I had the immeasurable pleasure of finding the Fnac Forum des Halles on Monday at a meeting Organized by the sign. Interviewed by journalist Didier Varrod, author of "Rage " Cali told us about his latest opus, which he seems very proud. The three songs that we had the chance to listen to suggest that he has reason to be ... and make me even more eager to discover the rest of the album.

First places for the upcoming tour are on sale on Monday morning ... and of course, I already bought my ticket for the Zenith in Paris May 4, 2011.

When the choice of such a title, I prefer to leave Cali tell you the genesis , Which he will surely do so when will embark on a marathon promotional imposed by releasing a new album.

Arcade Fire and their last The Suburbs Album , That's still a little while since I mention . So I summarizes the whole story, I'll just say that the album ended up on the net late August and that all blogs have rushed to publish a column while a bit sloppy on my part I took my time. (No honestly it is wrong, I wrote this column by leaving the hometown of Arcade Fire, namely Montreal. On the plane then. Besides, it is not practical, but there does is not the issue.) I also especially need a good excuse to post this review (now that the whole world (and a qualifying Inrocks Montrealers as "saviors of rock" to France Sunday) published his short note, ahem ...) and I found this excuse: the output of the clip Eady R To Start.

you see? It is shit eh ... It is not completely boring but not super rock'n'roll is the case say. Yet it jumps a bit, it gets mad at idle on his guitar, but ... no, the sauce is not I'm sorry. I almost dedicate this clip to a sequence of my pamphlet anti-MIA but actually not, I have to go easy on the arch fire after all .
So I thought: what's the horror in black and white with passages in slow motion? Not to mention plans supposedly in the crowd delirious. No it's not possible ... This is a consensualité to rival the most hardcore fans of Coldplay, then. So let it go because behind this clip to forget there is a very good song. And behind this very good song, there are fifteen other songs, which form one of best albums of the year.

Starting with The Suburbs, the long (5'15 ") namesake, a sort of Heaven Can Wait power mile tube-catchy indie announcing at the outset as a great album, in keeping with their excellent debut album Funeral and easier to access than their grand but gloomy Neon Bible second disk that was open by Black Mirror. The instrument tragic, almost melodramatic at times, is in direct contrast with the singing of Win Butler that was rarely heard as bright, not to mention the childish melody that evokes an easy ride. With this, we manage to Montrealers paste a smile upon opening, before attacking with real Ready To Start , which already sounds a bit more Neon-Biblienne which the instrument sounds more energetic, also more tortured, she evokes the fresh start of Arcade Fire, which radically changed the theme after dialing on grief and misfortune and now holds forth on boredom in North American suburbs. Lyrics ( If I Was Your ... but I'm not , for example), although far from poetic, resonate with a surprising sincerity blown through the vocals incarnate Butler. Butler, a new man, a man ... modern, as suggested by the third track, Modern Man. Asked at its beginning, she takes off past the first minute, is blowing it will lose again before recovering again. A song whose intensity is sawtooth, heralding Rococo , who dares to repeat a word until the loss of meaning, just keep the pure musicality (without alienating the listener, as Katherine with her unbearable-but interesting-Bla Bla Bla ), an exercise in style very well, giving thanks to Butler fishing ... even plaintive in the extreme.

Empty Room who sees Chassagne appear on violin and vocals, has a sound much more sharp, almost garish. This song, the shortest of the album if you exclude the recovery of which The Suburbs closes the album, has now long Complaints violin sometimes a very delicate female vocals, to the delight of our ears. City With No Children , melody simple apporche, sharing his words between the voice of one of Butler and Chassagne, and we feel that the two put their heart in these words almost tragic. The first part of Half Light is the first "real" song Chassagne, which is recognized by its signature: violin and vocals inspired both posed and passionate. The second part (No Celebration) , differs from the previous beautifully, all in still evident after him, although the song is from Butler, the frenetic background makes real treat. Suburban War is the second echo the title of the album, and pretty basic guitar easier than before, definitely accessible melody, minimalism is pushed to extremes, and built perfectly. A song that is almost whispered by the voice of Butler almost veiled, the beats arise slowly, its first part is very soothing, but then she knows a more forceful way, before falling almost flat. This back and forth breaks the rhythm, and song at the same time, loses its sweetness original. Month of May passes strangely better when it is surrounded by her peers. She remains "Arcade Fire attempting to punk" but seems more successful after already thirty-five minutes Suburbs-iennes. Without knowing the darkness of Neon Bible, it is clearly less accessible than the previous songs, the lyrics are almost chewed at times, not counting his furious tend to be overly effective. It is pleasantly listenable, but surprisingly, it makes us lose the taste (hearing?) Of velvet that coats the first half of album. Wasted Hours us quickly restores the taste of its accents Funeral and simplicity (including sweet a capella passages ). Deep Blue really takes off once past the first minute, but we feel that Butler continues to flounder throughout the song (it supports its line endings and even allows himself some "lalalala"). Even if the melody is pretty and pleasant song, the song may be too many. We Used To Wait (and his wonderful music video, which deserves an article-or two-by itself, can be seen on thewildernessdowntown.net if you have the latest version Safari or Chrome because it is in HTML5) is also experiencing a frenetic introduction. A single note played on piano runs the length of the song, and all soutenenant. Butler does not hesitate to support some words from time to time ... Hope that Something Pure Cdn last .

The first part of Sprawl , Flatland, is simple, slow, she takes her time, leaving any room for the tragic tone of voice of Butler and his songwriting here Doherty Close to Canada. With a power he rarely reveals his voice is very touching, you feel the emotions flow. That's what makes the greatness of Arcade Fire. The second part Mountains Beyond Mountains, and its substantive tonorités tend towards electro (and reminiscent of Blondie in passing), his webs of synthetic very low contrast with the voice of Chassagne, who n does not hesitate to climb. Blazing success that mountains, evoking rather fountains, flowing lazily, like ease of Arcade Fire to write songs like this, almost without realizing it. The Suburbs (continued) marks the return of the theme Album of violin / vocals, played on the razor's edge. (On-) involved and elegant finish.

The Suburbs is an album designed for the stage, I saw with my own eyes, you can read my review here.

The Suburbs is an album that shows Arcade Fire on the back, more motivated than ever. Their album, the longest (almost prolix) proves their inspiration as natural, innate. Good songs flow naturally, in this album that successfully blends tubes and sometimes small nuggets rock at the edge of the blues, often folk, pop all the time (within the meaning of the term ameliorative, if it exists). As dense as Neon Bible and as accessible as Michael Jackson, they met the challenge with gusto. Good ideas flow in the veins Montreal: we suspected already, we now demonstrate in an hour.
