A NEW STAINED GLASS THANN
The window created by Kim En Joong in Thann.
past few days, residents can enjoy their Thann collegiate a new window that has just been established.
This work was carried out in the Loire workshop. It was designed by Dominican Kim En Joong. Born in 1940, christened in 1967, settled in France, Kim En Joong has trained at the School of Fine Arts of Seoul. His non-figurative works can be admired at: www.kimenjoong.com
The window Newly installed in Thann has been achieved thanks to the legacy of an inhabitant of the city. It replaces a glass depicting the Last Judgement, destroyed at the end of the Second World War. This same theme has been opened to competition, won by the Dominican.
was now, in this gem of religious architecture in Upper Alsace, an overview of the history of stained glass panels in Alsace with the fifteenth-and sixteenth-century works from the nineteenth century, stained glass set up by Chevallier after 1945, finally a work of early twenty-first century
